Sometimes, a single uncontrolled temperature exceedance is enough to lose valuable medicines or laboratory materials in a matter of hours. Excess humidity, in turn, can damage documents or samples. Such situations occur more often than we think – especially where there is no one to measure and record parameter changes around the clock and notify in case of danger.
Modern temperature and humidity monitoring systems, although not yet artificial intelligence, act as a faithful assistant. They work around the clock and always inform you about what is important. They automatically save data in the cloud and, if necessary, allow you to prepare a report – ready for review or control. Thanks to them, you can react in time. Not after the fact, when you are assessing losses instead of taking countermeasures.
Security through instant notifications
The most important thing in the work of pharmacies, laboratories or warehouses is a sense of control, a real impact on how important resources are stored. Modern systems notify you when the temperature or humidity is exceeded in many ways:
- in the application
- via an online platform,
- e-mail,
- text message
- also a discreet audible signal.
Even if you do not have your phone in your hand, the alarm will not let you overlook the danger. This allows you to perform your duties with peace of mind, while being confident that you will be notified of any potential threats in the event of a problem.
Regulatory compliance and documentation reliability
It is not enough to simply check measurements. You also need to be able to document them – especially during inspections or audits. IoT systems store all data in the cloud, and you can access it from anywhere. Even when you are away from the facility, thanks to the app and web platform. Data archiving for 5 years gives you a sense of security, and ready-to-download reports allow you to avoid the stress of paper archives, where finding information about the temperature on a given day, month or year can take up to several hours.

👉Behind the scenes in pharmacy – how are the storage conditions of medicines controlled?
Quick and easy installation – is it possible?
Not everyone has the time and opportunity to implement complex systems. That is why modern temperature and humidity sensors are designed to be quick and easy to install. It only takes a few minutes to install them – no cables, no drilling into walls and no additional costs. This solution allows you to start monitoring immediately, without any unnecessary complications. With the CoolSens system, you take the device out of the box, remove the battery covers, and you can hang the sensors and recorder anywhere using Velcro or place them on a shelf or countertop. With little effort, you can enjoy a solution that works right away.
Feel at ease with round-the-clock monitoring
Measurements are taken in real time, continuously recording temperature and humidity. You can set the frequency of readings to suit your needs – which means full control, at any time of the day or night. This way, you avoid unpleasant surprises and can be sure that everything is working as it should and that your medicines, samples, documents or stored goods are safe.
Are you curious about the experiences of other users?
People who already use such solutions emphasise their practicality.
“The alarms are discreet but effective. Even when I am busy with patients at the pharmacy, I can count on the system to notify me of any deviations with a discreet audible signal,” – says a pharmacist from Warsaw.
This shows how important not only technology is, but also the comfort of everyday work.
Not AI yet, but a step towards automation
Although it is not yet artificial intelligence, environmental monitoring systems respond to the real needs of today’s workplaces. They automate the most important processes and allow you to focus on what matters most – quality, safety and regulatory compliance.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Does the system also work during an internet outage or power failure?
Yes, systems of this type (e.g. CoolSens) have internal memory and a battery that allow them to continue recording data even when there is no power or internet connection. Once reconnected, the data is automatically synchronised with the cloud.
What are the legal requirements for temperature monitoring in pharmacies?
Pharmacies are required to ensure appropriate storage conditions for medicinal products in accordance with the Regulation of the Secretary of State for Health. A temperature and humidity recording system helps to meet these requirements by providing access to historical data and reports. Find out more in the Regulation: *Rozporządzenie Ministra Zdrowia - nowe przepisy - 2025
* Regulations apply to Poland
Do I need specialist knowledge to use the system?
No. The system is intuitive and easy to use – installation takes a few minutes, and the interface is designed for everyday users, not IT specialists. Most users start monitoring on their own without technical support.
Can I use the system in more than one location?
Yes, the system supports multiple locations and measurement zones. You can monitor different pharmacies, warehouses or refrigerators from a single platform – conveniently and remotely.
How long is the data stored?
The data concentrator stores the last 5,110 measurements, which translates into approximately 53 days of system use, maintaining a measurement frequency of every 15 minutes. The data is stored in the Portal for 5 years, with the option of extending this period to 10 years by purchasing an additional package. You can view and print the collected measurements at any time. This is very useful in the event of an inspection or audit.
What alerts can I set?
You can set notifications for exceeding the upper and lower temperature or humidity limits. Alerts can be sent via the application, SMS, e-mail, and can also appear as audible signals directly from the device.
